Arsameia

Arsameia on the Nymphaios is an ancient city located in Old Kahta in the province of Adıyaman. The site is known in ancient times as Nymphaios. Arsameia was founded in the Third Century BC by the Armenian king Arsames (255–225 BC).

A relief of the god Mithras at Arsameia and Nymphaios. Arsameia and Nymphaios was cult and burial site of the Commagene kingdom in Southeastern Turkey.

Arsameia was a royal seat of the kingdom of Commagene. Relief with a handshake; Mithridates or Antiochus and Heracles are shaking hands.
